It has an extremely primitive form and construction, specialising in tuberculosis observation and occupational therapy, and the space is minimal, with dimensions determined by the length of the sleeping area, the height of the standing area and the width of the walking area. The exterior is so plain that it is easy to pass by, but it is buildings such as these that should be the focus of conservation attention. It is also important in terms of military history, the history of national diseases and the medical history of the introduction of the British Sleeping Shelter, the only one still in existence.
