    • This is the first multi-purpose City Hall for concerts and theatre in a tropical region Okinawa Prefecture. Brick tiles which cited from “ Amahaji”, deep eaves of a house in Okinawa, cover the building composed by unfinished concrete columns and beams. In the terrace hall, a waist height stone wall from an image of “Hinpun” , a traditional screen in Okinawa which stops a flow of air is set up in the entry hall. This is an experimental building of a fusion combination of traditional methods of Okinawa and environmental technique in modern architecture.
