Ashiya Civic Hall including Runa Hall and Annex is one of the most important works by Osaka Branch of Sakakura Associates. For thirty years over, since 1963 had started main hall continuing to Runa Hall and the Annex also after Hanshin Great Earthquake restoration are seen as presenting condition. Each building is finished by exposed concrete as modernism expression, however, is different from idea, design method and form. Such difference could connote the transformation of ages.
